Director, Business Development is a proactive media sales person, responsible for generating and closing new advertising revenue. If you are a "hunter" -- someone who is extremely passionate about being out in the market and finding new business through contacts, referrals, agencies, etc. then this is the perfect position for you! The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be extremely knowledgeable about media and how it influences beauty and fashion brands.
Responsibilities
• Prospect and cold call on all non-Women’s Marketing brands
• Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and new business sales goals
• Deliver innovative sales strategies and high quality service activities for new business prospects.
• Drive revenue through the consultative sale of proprietary Women’s Marketing services focusing on the digital video, social & mobile sectors.
• Develop account strategies for longterm development and revenue growth
• Be accountable for the preparation and delivery of sales presentations, proposals and contracts for our prospects and clients.
• Establish and maintain strategic level relationships with new and existing clients.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of digital media sales experience, with a focus on new business development & acquisition in the digital space
• Demonstrated history of quota attainment with the ability to evaluate sound business opportunities and close deals in a consultative selling environment
• A strong command of the Digital landscape (including Video, Programmatic, Search/Social & Mobile) through market intelligence and the ability to convert trends into timely client opportunities.
• Knowledge and usage of Salesforce.com and HubSpot a plus.
• Ability to build a strategic plan and execute accordingly.
• Ability to persuade and influence others.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of advertising industry, contracting, negotiating and change management.
• Knowledge of planning marketing strategies and advertising campaigns.
• Work requires local and long distance travel.
