Associate Director, Client Strategy

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, CLIENT STRATEGY

As a result of continued client expansion, we are looking for an Associate Director, Client Strategy to join our team. This position serves as the primary client contact and owner of end-to-end client communications accountable for developing strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor, and ensuring client satisfaction. Leads the client’s business and translates the client’s marketing objectives into actionable next steps to effectively lead the holistic campaign strategy and development of plans. The right candidate must be able work proficiently in a fully remote environment.

As Associate Director, Client Strategy, you will:

  • Use a data-first approach and leverage research, insights, and past media performance to shape the holistic strategy and channel planning
  • Develop client presentations and other communications that are clear and persuasive
  • Provide thorough analysis of campaign performance, lead optimizations across all channels to ensure campaigns are optimized to meet client business objectives
  • Provide governance and strategic oversight on the planning, buying, and reporting functions, and be accountable for all deliverables produced by the team
  • Work collaboratively and interdepartmentally to manage workflow, ensuring flawless and timely execution
  • Ownership of clients’ budgets across all media channels, inclusive of full year revenue and gross margin. Provide regular updates to management
  • Immerse yourself in the client’s business and develop the knowledge base needed to become a key strategic partner
  • Own the media strategies and forecasts developed to achieve client’s revenue/sales targets across all digital platforms (Performance)
  • Assess and recommend research that will uncover category and/or consumer insights that will impact the client's business and shape communications strategy

To be highly successful in this role, you will have the following core skills/talents/attributes:

  • Clearly identify media's role within the marketing process and articulate roles and responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge of planning with the digital advertising landscape; inclusive of programmatic, Display/Video, Social, SEM, mobile, and other digital channels
  • Solid understanding of digital advertising technology, ad-serving platforms, DMPs, DSPs, attribution measurement
  • Proficient working in platform to pull various digital reports (FB Business Manager, Google Ads, Bing Ads, Doubleclick)
  • Experience leveraging Google Analytics with the ability to update as necessary to meet client demands (creation of custom channel groupings, custom segments, etc.)
  • Excellent analytic skills to confidently evaluate and optimize campaign performance and deliver insights to clients
  • Confident and strong presentation skills
  • Experience/knowledge in on-demand or ecommerce related technologies (Performance)
  • Experience implementing and optimizing data-driven, targeted marketing campaigns, investing in biddable media, designing and measuring A/B tests
  • Experience developing acquisition and performance marketing strategies including all paid media channels
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Listen and react quickly to resolve issues and identify opportunities within the department and internal channels
  • Experience with data visualization software such as Datorama, Tableau, etc. a plus
