Manager, Retail Advertising

As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our world-class team — and we’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Manager, Retail Advertising to join us.

As Manager, Retail Advertising you will play a pivotal role within our team, leading the development and execution of high-performing campaigns across diverse client accounts on various retail media platforms (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Instacart, etc.). Think of yourself as the quarterback of client campaigns, independently crafting and optimizing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales. You'll manage multiple clients, foster a collaborative team environment, and become a trusted advisor, leading client communication and ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Success in this role requires a strategic thinker with a blend of analytical skills and a deep understanding of the retail landscape leading to strong client satisfaction and retention. While this is a remote position, those interested must be open to in-person connection for team, client, and learning opportunities.

Regular responsibilities but are not limited to:
  • Develop and lead comprehensive advertising strategies aligned with business goals, target audience insights, and industry trends. Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitive analysis, and historical performance analysis to inform impactful campaign objectives.
  • Oversee the entire campaign lifecycle, including planning, implementation, optimization, and performance analysis across various retail media platforms (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Instacart, etc.).
  • Manage large media budgets responsibly, utilizing forecasting and scenario planning skills to optimize resource allocation and achieve ROI.
  • Implement and manage sophisticated bid strategies designed to achieve client goals and maximize campaign efficiency.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to continuous campaign improvement. Monitor performance, identify trends and opportunities, and leverage A/B testing, budget allocation strategies, and advanced bid management techniques to optimize results.
  • Become the day-to-day client lead/main point of contact (POC). Lead internal and external communications, confidently presenting campaign data and optimization strategies to clients in meetings. Develop insightful and actionable reports that translate complex data into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative and learning environment for your team of Retail Advertising Specialists. Provide effective leadership and mentorship, assigning tasks with clear expectations, and offering ongoing coaching and support.
  • Stay at the forefront of the retail advertising landscape by actively researching and adopting new advertising features and industry best practices. Share learnings with the team to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate strategically with cross-functional teams to ensure advertising efforts align with the overall account strategy and client goals.
  • Maintain retail network advertising certifications including Amazon, Walmart, Criteo, Instacart.
  • Assist department leadership team with projects, as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced understanding of retail advertising campaigns & metrics
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely and lead client facing calls.
  • Team player, manages effectively and knows how and when to ask for help.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset with the ability to solve client concerns.
  • Financial acumen to manage budget pacing.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Retail Media platforms (e.g., Amazon Sponsored Ads/DSP, Walmart Connect, Instacart Ads, Criteo, Kroger Ads Platform, CitrusAd, etc.) and Bid Management platforms (e.g., Skai, Pacvue). Maintain all platform certifications.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
