VP, RETAIL MEDIA

As a result of continued client expansion, we are looking for a VP, Retail Media to join our team. This newly created position will be a hands-on leader who will own the strategy and operations across Amazon Advertising and all other marketplaces. To be successful in this role, you must know Amazon inside-out and have a prolonged track record of growing brands across other marketplaces. The right candidate must be able work proficiently in a fully remote environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading Amazon Advertising Strategy with extensive knowledge of both AMS and DSP (both strategy and hands-on-keyboard)
  • Leading Marketplace/Retail Media Strategy across all other marketplaces including, Walmart, Target, Instacart, Kroger, CVS, etc
  • Driving conversations with executive-level clients on advertising strategy, expectations, performance, etc
  • Building strategy presentations for executive-level clients on advertising strategy, expectations, performance, etc
  • Establishing short and long-term ecommerce strategies to grow retailer ecommerce business while identifying strategies to acquire new households
  • Working collaboratively across internal teams to apply full-funnel, audience-based approaches to ecommerce media, including connecting ecommerce to broader omnichannel strategies and experiences
  • Proactively pursue insights and understanding across the modern commerce landscape (e.g., marketplace, retail, ecomm, etc.), and use this knowledge to consistently elevate our work offerings, and client experience
  • Training the team on full marketplace advertising execution
  • Remaining up-to-date on the latest offerings and features across the retail media landscape
  • Being an innovative thought leader who seeks out industry changes and emerging trends or opportunities and can contribute to the thought leadership of Stella Rising content

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have 3+ years experience with marketplace advertising/retail media
  • 5+ years in Amazon Advertising including certification with Sponsored Ads and Amazon DSP Accreditation from Amazon Learning Console
  • Must be proficient in Amazon Advertising, Walmart Advertising, Instacart Advertising, Excel, PPT
  • 8+ years of media planning experience with a focus in performance marketing objectives
  • Must be familiar with third-party bid optimization tools such as Pacvue, Kenshoo/SKAI, etc
  • Retail and/or CPG ecommerce related experience
  • Must have proven success driving growth for clients/brands through advertising
  • Must have 3+ years experience managing and training a team
  • Confident and strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, multi-task and participate in team-based planning processes
